Here is the current and most updated list of all Private universities in Nigeria. This article will not be listing the list of Legal and illegal private universities in Nigeria, BUT only the ones approved by the National University commission.

Please take note that the National Universities commission has approved ONLY 69 private Universities in Nigeria, and their accredited courses. If you are planning on studying with a Private institution in Nigeria, and it’s not listed here, Please be warned. You’ll have yourself to blame, because you’ll be wasting your Money, time and resources in an institution, not recognized by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and your certificate will be nulled and utterly useless.

Update: For those asking if the National Open University of Nigeria is a private school, the answer is No, it’s Not.
