Today is a great day, as the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo was awarded a Masters Degree (MA) in Christian Theology by the senate and management board of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
This award was given to the ex-president at Noun’s fifth convocation ceremony, which was held at its permanent site in FCT Abuja on the 16th of January.
Olusegun Obasanjo graduated with a 4.25 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) at Abeokuta Study Centre of the University.

The graduation ceremony was graced by Nollywood stars, including Desmond Elliot, Kenneth Okonkwo among others.
Another wonderful graduates who are worthy of mention here, is a 52-year-old grandmother, Abdullahi Amina, who bagged a First Class degree in Islamic Studies.
While Seventy (70) year old Rear Admiral Orishamolade Stephen Ola bagged a First Class in Mathematics.
The total number of students who graduated are Ten thousand, six hundred and fifty two (10,652) students.
